Now also for hybrids: Further improvement to DEFEND Car Protect extended warranties
DEFEND has introduced another enhancement to its key product line of extended warranties, DEFEND Car Protect. Programs for vehicles up to 6 years old and 200,000 kilometers now include hybrid drive components for mild hybrid vehicles (MHEV), full hybrid vehicles (HEV), and plug-in hybrids (PHEV) as part of the additional coverage.
Hybrid cars are becoming increasingly popular in the European market, and with this comes the importance
of protecting them in case of unexpected breakdowns. DEFEND INSURANCE GROUP reflects this trend by extending
the optional additional coverage of its extended warranties to include hybrid drive components. Customers
can now arrange this coverage for vehicles up to 6 years old with 200,000 kilometers on the clock.
"At DEFEND INSURANCE GROUP, we strive to constantly innovate and improve our products to meet the
current needs of our partners and clients. Therefore, we have enhanced the coverage of our extended warranties
in all markets where we operate to include hybrid drive components, effective 1 June 2024. This means
our clients can now have protection in the event of unexpected failure of the main battery pack or its
individual parts, the on-board battery charger, converter, electric drive unit, and other key components," explains
Tomasz Oszczepalski, Head of Sales and Marketing at DEFEND INSURANCE GROUP.
DEFEND Car Protect extended warranties have previously included CNG/LPG components as optional additional
coverage, and the coverage for hybrid drive components is at the same price level. DEFEND INSURANCE GROUP
also offers warranty programs exclusively for electric vehicles.
"The market share of hybrids and electric vehicles is growing steadily, and we believe that our DEFEND
Car Protect extended warranties offer our partners a competitive advantage and the opportunity to stay
ahead of the competition. With us, they are well-prepared for the future, which is increasingly focused
on electric mobility and hybrid drives," concludes Tomasz Oszczepalski.
